Eighteen Sound 6NMB420

Eighteen Sound 6NMB420 is a 6-inch speaker with 44mm voice coil and neodymium magnet. It was created for the reproduction of medium-low frequencies in systems where high intelligibility is required.

Compared to the pure midrange 6ND410 , the Eighteen Sound 6NMB420 has a lower resonance frequency and a higher linear excursion value. Consequently, this speaker shows a higher emission around 250 Hz, with a consequent slightly above 700 Hz output. It is suitable as medium-low in traditional line array or multiway systems, crossover between 200 Hz and 3 kHz; the box could be closed or tuned bass-reflex, with volume starting from 2 liters. The speaker offers superb linearity: the distortion values ​​are minimized by the new design criteria developed by the 18Sound engineers, bringing the 6NMB420 to a very high performance level.

The extremely powerful neodymium magnet ensures a high flow concentration, low Power Compression and excellent heat exchange. The encapsulation of the magnetic structure inside the basket guarantees a constant heat transfer, offering a greater contact space between the back plate and the dissipating structure. In addition, a demodulating ring is used in the construction of this loudspeaker which significantly linearizes the impedance cure ( SDR - Single Demodulating Ring ).

The triple wave suspension design offers effective damping of the moving assembly. In addition, the 44 mm spool is made of light aluminum wire and ensures high linearity and good power handling. Finally, the Eighteen Sound 6NMB420 can be used in humid environments, thanks to the patented water-repellent treatment of the cone.
