Eighteen Sound 15MB1000

Eighteen Sound 15MB1000 is a 380 mm (15 ″) diameter transducer with a 100 mm (4 “) coil that provides for its use as medium-low. It prefers a use in compact reflex cabinets in two-way systems with 1.4 ″ and 2 ”compression drivers.

The Eighteen Sound 15MB1000 incorporates a curvilinear low profile cone, reinforced with carbon fiber which offers a uniform response across the frequency range. In addition, another key feature is exceptional mechanical strength, with maximum reliability under the stress of high stresses.

The low distortion and unmatched sound quality of the 15MB1000 are significantly improved thanks to the dual demodulating rings ( DDR ) incorporated in the polar plate. These rings drastically reduce intermodulation distortion and improve transient response.

The 100 mm aluminum coil uses ISV - Interleaved Sandwich Voice Coil technology , in which a high-strength fiberglass support supports the windings on both surfaces to obtain a balanced coil with a uniform distribution of mass and energy motive. All this translates into an extremely linear motor unit.

Air ducts between the basket and the rear magnetic plate guarantee excellent heat dissipation. In addition, air vents in the back plate provide additional ventilation by forcing the flow directly to the air gap. Furthermore, considerable attention characterizes the design of the magnetic structure in order to maximize the concentration of the flow and the force factor in the air gap.
