Description
Eighteen Sound 12NLW9300
The Eighteen Sound 12NLW9300 is a 12-inch low-frequency transducer, with a 100mm coil and neodymium magnet. The loudspeaker is used as a pure woofer in very compact reflex boxes (from 30 to 70 liters approximately). The neodymium magnet group ensures a high concentration of flux, low Power Compression and excellent heat exchange. As a consequence, a high force factor and an excellent power management are obtained.
The direct contact between the heat sink and the basket represents a fundamental improvement in the heat dissipation of the moving coil. In addition, a special air diffuser in low-density multi-cell material (inserted in the exit hole of the rear polar plate) acts as a cooling system. The suspension system allows for ample symmetrical movement throughout the work area, providing low harmonic distortion.
The Eighteen Sound 12NLW9300 features an exclusive straight cone (reinforced with carbon fiber), with a specific formulation of the pulp that contains high damping fibers. The membrane is impregnated with a resin mixture which contributes to increase the performance of the cone (up to 6 times better than traditional cellulose).
Performance improves further thanks to the proprietary DDR - Double Demodulating Rings technology , which drastically reduces the intermodulation distortion and at the same time improves the transient response. In addition, the ISV - Interleaved Sandwich Voice Coil 100 mm (4 inches) in copper-coated aluminum wire offers high levels of thermal stability and durability.
