Eighteen Sound 12ND610

The Eighteen Sound 12ND610 is a medium-low loudspeaker with a very high sensitivity ( 102 dB SPL ) neodymium magnet , perfect for high quality professional systems. His is the reproduction of medium and medium-low frequencies, in compact cabinets, horn loaded or tuned bass-reflex.

The magnet

The extremely powerful neodymium magnet ensures a high concentration of flux, low Power Compression , and excellent heat exchange. Considering the force factor levels and power management, this speaker has the best weight / power ratio on the market today.

The mobile crew

The curvilinear paper cone of the Eighteen Sound 12ND610, designed with a special high-strength wood pulp, obtains the best possible linearity within the expected frequency range and to control the resonances on the circumference of the membrane. In addition, the multiroll suspensions , made of rigid canvas, are highly resistant to aging and mechanical stress. The 75 mm reel is similar to that mounted on the top models of the 18 ″ and 15 ″ range, but is wound with aluminum wire. It uses  ISV - Interleaved Sandwich Voice Coil technology, in which the high resistance fiberglass support supports the windings on both its surfaces, giving the coil a well balanced mass. For this, the final result is an extremely linear motor unit with a reduced tendency to eccentric behavior when it is forcefully operated.

Finally, a membrane treatment makes the speaker suitable for outdoor use and in adverse weather conditions. In addition, a special coating applied to the polar plates makes the 12ND610 much more resistant to the corrosive effects of salts and oxidation.
