Eighteen Sound 10MB600

The Eighteen Sound 10MB600 medium-low speaker represents a development of the 10M600 pure midrange , combining excellent linearity with high efficiency and good power management capability. The 10MB600 is mainly intended for use as a medium-low driver in extremely compact 2-way reflex systems (between 10 and 40 liters).

The mobile group

Its curvilinear paper cone was born using a special high-strength wood pulp, designed to obtain maximum rigidity and strength. In addition, a special treatment covers the cone membrane to increase its water-repellent properties. The 75 mm reel is similar to that of the 18 ″ and 18 ″ 18Sound models, but is wrapped in aluminum wire. In addition, the coil uses ISV - Interleaved Sandwich Voice Coil construction technology : the glass fiber trainer supports the windings on both its surfaces. The result is that of obtaining a coil well balanced in mass: the motor unit is therefore extremely linear with a reduced tendency to eccentric behavior. The cooling of the coil is guaranteed by some openings between the basket and the front plate of the magnet which allow the air to be channeled outwards and dissipated by the basket.

The magnetic structure

The polar plates of the magnet group optimize the flow density and the BL factor in the air gap, providing the right thrust for the entire mobile group. In addition, a special treatment is applied to both plates, making the transducer much more resistant to the corrosive effects of salts and oxidation. Hence, the equipment is capable of being used outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
