Eighteen Sound 10M600

The Eighteen Sound 10M600 is a 10-inch pure midrange that offers high power management capabilities and exceptional sensitivity on medium frequencies ( 102 dB SPL  1W / 1m). It is suitable for direct radiation or horn loaded applications as part of a multiway system. The Eighteen Sound 10M600 is the result of an intense development program aimed at having the best 10 ″ midrange with ferrite magnet available.

The smooth paper cone has a special composition of high-strength wood pulp and returns the best possible linearity within the working frequency range. In addition, the cone is supported by a double half-wave suspension, made of a material that is more resistant to aging and wear than traditional materials. This allows for correct damping and good excursion control.

The 75 mm coil (with ISV - Interleaved Sandwich Voice Coil technology ) incorporates an aluminum wire and a glass fiber trainer to obtain the necessary force factor and a light moving mass. Furthermore, the cooling of the coil is guaranteed by the openings between the basket and the front plate of the magnet. In this way the heated air moves away from the air gap and the frame dissipates its heat.

The magnetic structure was also created after the use of computer simulations that maximize the density of the air gap flow. In addition, a special treatment covers both polar plates, making them more resistant to the corrosive effects of salts and oxidation.
